Before version 16.1 of iOS that Apple has been beta testing since mid-September (we are in its third version) a 16.0.3 might well be distributed to users. Obviously less ambitious, we mainly expect bug fixes. This revision is starting to show up in website visit logs.
The trigger for the release of this small update may be l’iPhone 14 Plus whose first orders will be honored this Friday, October 7. It is not uncommon for a new model to bring its particular problems – to be removed immediately – in addition to bugs affecting all its cousins. iOS 16.0.2 with several important fixes is come September 22.
Early owners of iPhone 14 and 14 Pro will need to install iOS 16.0.1
