Porsche’s next all-new electric model should surprise. The first comments evoke an SUV very different from the range.
The electrification of Porsche, following the Taycan, will go through a ‘zero emission’ Macan. But following this SUV, another completely new model will be added to the range.
This is currently the K1 project, which is an electric SUV with three rows of seats. We can therefore deduce that these three rows will house seven seats.
In terms of size, this model will be more imposing than the Cayenne. It should therefore be the new absolute top of the range from Porsche, with the exception of sports cars.
One person who has seen it describes the K1 as “a new style of vehicle that is half sedan, half crossover”. This person describes the vehicle as “slender”. Another person who has been able to see the new vehicle, or in any case his project, says of him that he is “very little Porsche”.
We can imagine a design using the codes of vehicles like the Citroën C5X, with a raised platform and an aspect leaning towards the station wagon. The other option is that of a radical design that would take up the electrical concepts already seen before. Answer in a few years, the model to arrive in 2026.
