Several former CH players on waivers

All National Hockey League (NHL) teams continue to cut players from their roster for the start of the next regular season and several veterans are on waivers.

On Sunday, several interesting athletes, including former Montreal Canadiens, were placed on the list.

Washington Capitals goaltender Zachary Fucale, who won his first NHL game last year, is on waivers. Another former CH goalkeeper, Dustin Tokarski, now a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, was also left out.

The 33-year-old veteran played 29 games with the Buffalo Sabers last season.

The captain of the Laval Rocket in recent seasons, defender Xavier Ouellet, also saw his name put on waivers by the “Pens”. The Quebecer has amassed 41 points in 61 games in the American League in 2021-2022.

Gustav Olofsson (Seattle Kraken), William Lagesson (Carolina Hurricanes), Jake Lucchini (Ottawa Senators) and William Bitten (St. Louis Blues) are other Montreal organization alumni on Sunday’s list .

Also note the presence on waivers of goaltenders Malcolm Subban (Sabres) and Michael Hutchinson (Vegas Golden Knights), forward Drake Caggiula (Penguins) and defenseman Anthony Bitetto (Florida Panthers).
