Park Min-ji (24), who won 4 victories this season on the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour, withdrew on the last day of the Hana Financial Group Championship (total prize money of 1.5 billion won), which took the most money on the tour.
According to GAD Sports, the management company, Park Min-ji decided to withdraw due to symptoms of a cold and body aches before the final 4 rounds of the tournament held at Bear’s Best Cheongna in Incheon on the morning of the 2nd.
Park Min-ji, who won 4 victories on the KLPGA tour this season, taking first place in prize money (1.048.58 million won) and 2nd place in grand prize points (514 points), withdrew from the tournament, while suffering from the followingeffects of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19). It is the second following Wall Nexen and St. Nine Masters.
He started with a tie for 51st in round 1 over par in the first round, and reduced 7 strokes in round 2 to move up to a tie ninth, but lost 3 strokes in the 3rd round the previous day and was pushed to a tie for 28th.
The management company explained that in the third round, Park Min-ji played the match while not feeling well, and the final round was not held in consideration of the future schedule due to difficult conditions.
