Dacia continues to impose its diktat on the city car segment
On the popular segment of city cars, Dacia has been imposing its diktat for a few years now. The Logan and the Sandero reign supreme here. Recently, there is the Peugeot 208, which has achieved commercial prowess, as well as the Renault Clio and the Hyundai Accent.
The Mégane and the Ford Focus, the most popular hatchback compacts
Renault Mégane retains its leadership position in front of the Ford Focus. The two compacts are followed by Hyundai I30. On this ranking, we note the arrival of the new Citröen C4 which was able to position itself as an outsider thanks to 336 sales at the end of June. A real success in a hotly contested segment whose sales have declined in recent years in favor of city cars and SUVs.
Fiat now reigns supreme over compact sedans
Thanks to 332 new registrations, the Fiat Tipo is the favorite compact sedan of Moroccans. This feat of the Italian was made to the detriment of the former leader of this market segment, in this case the Škoda Octavia whose sales fell by 81.78% at the end of June and which now sees itself occupying the 4th place in the standings.
The Toyota Corolla Prestige and the Renault Mégane sedan come in second and third place. We note the great breakthrough of the Hyundai Elantra which, incidentally, achieved exceptional sales growth in this segment.
