Marseille topped the French League temporarily, pending the completion of the rest of the round matches, following its victory over Angers 3-0 on Friday, in the 9th round of the “Ligue A”.
Marseille’s goals were signed by full-back Jonathan Claus in the 35th minute, Colombian striker Luis Javier Suarez (50th) and Brazilian midfielder Gerson (59th minute).
Marseille led the French league with 23 points, one point behind Paris Saint-Germain in second place, while Angers’ balance froze at 8 points in 14th place.
