The body of a 52-year-old man was found this Thursday in an advanced state of decomposition in a house in the La Tigrera sector, Guacara municipality.
Apparently, due to the strong smell that came from the house, the neighbors would have alerted and a commission of firefighters went to the house, on Andrés Eloy Blanco street, where they found the lifeless body.
The man was identified as José Alexis Gómez Parra, who was allegedly suffering from COVID-19 and that would have been the cause of death.
Officials from the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), the Mariara municipal delegation and the Guacara Municipal Police also arrived at the site.
