Today, on the 74th Armed Forces Day, North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the East Sea.

It is already the 4th provocation in a week, and it is analyzed as a reaction to the South Korea-U.S.-Japan joint exercise yesterday.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said today that it has detected two short-range ballistic missiles fired by North Korea into the East Sea from the Sunan area of Pyongyang, North Korea from 6:45 to 7:03 am today.

The flight range was 350 kilometers, the altitude was 30 kilometers, and the speed was detected as Mach 6.

South Korea, the United States and Japan conducted joint anti-submarine warfare exercises in the high seas of the East Sea east of Dokdo from the morning to the evening of yesterday, which is analyzed as an armed demonstration once morest this.

North Korea has been provoking every day since the US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan entered Busan at the end of last month.

On the 25th, 28th, 29th of last month, and for a week until today, seven ballistic missiles were fired into the East Sea.

Also, today is our Armed Forces Day, and a large-scale ceremony was held at Gyeryongdae, Chungcheongnam-do.

It is highly probable that North Korea was targeting and provoking it, as it is showing off cutting-edge power such as a South Korean 3-axis system that responds to North Korean nuclear and missile threats.

It is analyzed that there is also a character of resistance to the South Korea-U.S.-Japan military cooperation in the face of the advancement of North Korea’s nuclear and missile capabilities.

It also seems to be aimed at the criticism of North Korea’s ballistic missile launch program from the Demilitarized Zone on the 29th of last month by Vice President Kamala Harris.

Meanwhile, the presidential office held a standing committee of the National Security Council in relation to North Korea’s missile launch, condemning North Korea’s successive violations of Security Council resolutions and examining countermeasures.
