The industry of technology has expanded in Colombia from the hand of new solutions in different fields. In the case of the health sector, solutions have been formulated that are anchored with the problems that arise in the midst of the procedures generated in the health provider entities or EPS. This is the case of Docty, an ecosystem of tools that offers a different concept related to the health service experience.
Opo Herrera, creator of Docty, spoke at Blu 4.0, from Blu Radio, regarding the new concept that offers this smart health solution to its patients quickly in case of an emergency.
“Docty It is presented as a solution to the traditional health system that frames the concept of medicine in Colombia as a face-to-face and often bureaucratic service. Many people think that Docty is a teleconsultation application, but instead we we offer is a complete service that provides information to users regarding their health status and alternatives with which you can choose in order to find a quick fix in an emergency or in the event of a possible situation of risk to their health, ”Herrera explained.
Docty’s smart platform then acts as a digital caretaker, facilitating the location of nearby hospitals or clinics, as well as streamlining the drug delivery process.
“What Docty is looking for is to establish itself in the health sector as a caregiver who stands between the patient and the health system and handles all kinds of procedures” Opo Herrera said.
The way in which Docty plans to be the solution in the Colombian health sector is from technological alternatives, like using your tools like the smart watch, that manage to make an evaluation of the health status of patients and have emergency functions such as contact with health centers in risk situations.
“When health providers and insurers know the status of their patients, know the tests that have been done on them, they can then seek early, efficient and preventive care. This not only helps the patient and generates health benefits for Colombians, but also seeks save expenses in the health system since it is not going to wait for the patient to get sickbut will try to generate good practices in your health or medical alternatives that alleviate a possible chronic disease in the future”, commented Opo Herrera.
This is how Docty seeks to articulate all the actors present in the follow-up of the health of Colombians, among which are insurers, providers and other actors in the system, to grant a quick, comfortable and dynamic guide to create a much more productive service.
