Faced with rising energy and fuel prices, the Russian firm Lukoil has set up an action called “Mad Thursdays” which will take place throughout the month of October. The idea is to make a gesture for the population every Thursday in October (October 6, 13, 20 and 27). On these days, customers of the pump will indeed be entitled to a reduction of at least 16 centimes per liter when they fill up.
Remember, however, that the Russian brand still exports its oil from Russia and remains in the eye of the storm. With this action, the Russian firm is perhaps seeking to redeem the conscience of motorists following a partial boycott of the fact that it is owned by a powerful Russian oligarch.
Via a press release, the firm thus explained its choice to launch “Mad Thursdays”. “Customers do not hide it. The energy price increases of recent months are difficult to bear. Any possibility of saving money is therefore welcome. We are therefore very happy to be able to offer them this little help. inch”explains the company.
This action will apply for diesel and gasoline and will be deducted from the official fuel price.
