A man in his 30s was arrested on the 29th for the murder of a 70-year-old female building owner in a gosiwon in Sillim-dong, Seoul.
Judge Kim Sang-woo of the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant saying, “There is a risk of fleeing” following interrogating the suspect before the arrest of Mr.
A is accused of murdering a 74-year-old woman, the owner of a gosiwon building in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, on the morning of the 27th, and stealing a card, bankbook and cash worth 100,000 won (robbery murder). He was urgently arrested at a sauna in Seongdong-gu around 10 pm on the day of the crime.
On that day, Mr. A, who left the detention center at the Gwanak Police Station to attend the warrant review, only said “I’m sorry” to reporters’ questions such as “Do you admit the charges?” and “Did you kill to steal money?”
