Beijing: China, which is eager to become a global power, has reportedly opened illegal police stations all over the world, including developed countries like Canada and Ireland. Human rights organizations expressed concern over the incident.
Citing local media, Investigative Journalism Report has reported that several illegal police stations affiliated with the Public Security Bureau have been opened across Canada. There are three such stations in the Greater Toronto Area alone. The aim is to counter China’s rivals. The report also states that the Chinese government is influencing elections in some countries through illegal police stations.

Allegations are made of people being held in concentration camps, families being separated, and forced sterilizations being carried out. But China claims these are “vocational skills training centers”. Chinese officials said that these are necessary to counter terrorism and improve livelihoods.
