The 26-year-old model has broken her silence following years of speculation. Indeed, rumors said that Justin Bieber would have cheated on his ex Selena by dating Hailey Bieber before their separation in early 2018.
Taking part in the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, she said: “No, not once. When him and I started dating, or anything like that, he wasn’t in a relationship.”
“It’s not my style to interfere in someone’s relationship, I was raised better than that.”
The couple had a fling in 2016, before rekindling their romance in mid-2018, then getting engaged in July and wed two months later.
Reflecting on their relationship, Hailey added, “I understand how it looks on the outside, but it was a situation where I know for sure was the best thing for me. [Justin et Selena] to close this chapter, but of course there is a very long history between them and I respect that a lot.”
She insisted that she is now completely detached from the hatred of some fans who have been so invested in the story of Justin and Selena which lasted almost ten years.
Hailey explained, “A lot of the hate comes from ‘oh you stole it’ and the fact that he wished he’d ended up with someone else.
And that’s fine, you can wish it all you want, but it’s not.”
Meanwhile, she still finds herself receiving abuse on social media, but she does her best to “ignore” the cruel messages.
She said: “It still happens today, if I were to be live right now it would still be. You reach a point where you have to ignore it. If we’ve moved on, why don’t you ?”
