The Department of Education in Jazan Region confirmed that the videos that showed a quarrel between students in the classroom took place in a school affiliated with the department, indicating that the quarrel resulted in the injury of one of the students, who was taken to the hospital to receive health care.
Jazan Education spokeswoman, Raja Al-Attas, said:News 24The incident occurred in a secondary school affiliated with the Education Bureau in the center of Jazan “Boys” on Tuesday morning, 1/3/1444 AH.
She added that the injured student was transferred at the time to a hospital, where he was provided with the necessary medical care, and he left the hospital on the same day following conducting medical examinations and with continuous follow-up from the Education Department.
The spokeswoman confirmed that the Director-General of Education in the Jazan region, who is assigned, immediately directed the formation of a committee to find out all the reasons and details related to the incident, and to hold accountable any party proven to be negligent or negligent, and not to deal with this matter in the required educational manner, and to ensure that it does not happen once more.
