Top 100 airlines: Air Mauritius continues its fall to rank 88th

Air Mauritius has lost six places in the Top 100 airlines in the world published by the agency Skytrax. If it continues on this trend, the national aviation company may come out in the rankings to come. The national aviation company is in 88th position. Last year, she was 82nd. It therefore loses six places in one year. In 2019, she was in 61st place.

In 2020, Skytrax did not publish a ranking, as the aviation industry was then very severely impacted by COVID-19 with borders closed for much of that year. In 2018, Air Mauritius occupied the 69th position. In 2014, she was 60th. In eight years, it has therefore lost 28 places. Ten years ago, in 2012, she was 71st. Not much changes at the top of Skytrax’s Top 100 list.

In 2022, Qatar Airways continues to occupy first place, as does Singapore Airlines, the second step of the podium. On the other hand, All Nippon Airways moved into fourth position following being overtaken by Emirates. At the level of the African continent, Air Mauritius is 5th. It is overtaken by Ethiopian Airlines, which is number one, followed by Royal Air Maroc, South African Airways and Kenya Airways. Air Seychelles is tenth. South African Airways, which resumed operations in September 2021, has long been among the best airlines in the world. It held the top spot in Africa for 14 years. But she is now experiencing a dizzying fall.
