Two members of El Tren de Guayana killed

Two alleged members of the “El Tren de Guayana” gang were killed during an operation carried out by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim). The event was recorded this Monday morning in the La Fábrica sector of the El Callao municipality.

According to information from the GNB, the mixed commission belonging to the Rural Command Detachment number 62-2 was investigating and patrolling in the area, where they were surprised by the armed subjects, to “confront the brigade.”

The identities of the deceased were not revealed by the military components.

It transpired that a 5.56 x 45-millimeter AR-15 model rifle was seized at the site, without visible serial numbers, with two magazines and 47 ammunition of the same diameter, unfired and three fired.

A Taurus brand pistol, caliber 9 x 19 millimeters, serial TIK00879, containing 10 ammunition of the same size, unfired and two fired, was collected; a pistol magazine and 3.06 grams of suspected cocaine.

The procedure was notified to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
