Disappearance of Natacha de Crombrugghe: the DNA of the parents compared to that of the femur found in Peru

Natacha de Crombrugghe, the young Belgian who disappeared in Peru on January 24, 2022, has still not been found. Research has uncovered a skull, as well as bones, on September 23. However, the parents of the young woman expressed their doubts regarding this discovery. “It’s just a gruesomely staged old skull with legs made out of bits of oars or wood!”, they told Belga. “There is little chance that it is Natacha.”

As part of the rest of the investigation, these bones will still be analyzed. To do this, Natacha’s parents had to provide a DNA sample, which will be compared to a femur found with the skull in the Peruvian province of Caylloma. These human remains were transported to the city of Arequipa. According to local media, it would be the body of a young white woman between 25 and 30 years old. However, nothing indicates that it is Natacha de Crombrugghe. The results of the analyzes should be provided within 7 days, according to Peruvian media.
