Ukrainian game developer GSC Game World has announced that it will release ‘STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl’ (Stalker 2), which is currently under development, in 2023.
The Stalker series of GSC Game World is a genre game that combines FPS and RPG. It received favorable reviews for its excellent artificial intelligence, graphics, and an immersive combat system, and Stalker 2 is a new series released following 13 years.
Due to Russia’s war on the invasion of Ukraine that began in February of this year, several of the developers began to enlist in the military or volunteered, and the release was delayed indefinitely. .
However, Russian gaming media iXBT Games raised a rumor on September 22 that the release of Stalker 2 was delayed to 2024 as GSC Game World lost its core development team and is being redeveloped by new developers.
To refute the rumors, GSC Game World sent a statement to Insider Gaming, saying, “The rumors are false and our game has not been delayed once more.” We announced the game at Microsoft’s Extended E3 show, so it’s good to trust our sources for Stalker 2 information.”
