A startling video, shared on social network TikTok, captured the moment a man bravely fended off a grizzly bear by punching it in the head as he walked his dogs with his girlfriend.
The video shows the man slapping the beast, presumably a North American brown bear, which had taken refuge in the barn on his property.
After a few attempts, the man hits the animal which was advancing rapidly towards him, stopping it in its tracks.
Everything indicates that the blow the man sent him stunned him, since the bear cowered and quickly fled followingwards.
The man reportedly suffered no injuries during the terrifying encounter.
Thanks to his fighting spirit, his dogs and his girlfriend are also out of danger.
