“We are far from obtaining truth and justice”, express parents of the 43 normalistas of Ayotzinapa after the march

This Monday the march was held in the Mexico City for the eighth anniversary of the disappearance of the 43 normalists of Ayotzinapawhich is commemorated following the leak of some details of the case.

The protesters advanced through Paseo de la Reforma and made a momentary halt in the Ahuehuete Roundregardingwhich has been proposed to be renamed as ‘Roundregarding of the disappeared‘.

They also stopped their march in the Anti-monument to the 43 missing normalistaswhich was installed in 2015.

Around 6:00 p.m., the vanguard of the protest arrived at the capital socket. In their position, the parents of the normalistas denounced no progress in the resolution of the case in the current administration.

On the night of September 26, 2014, a group of 43 students from Rural Normal School ‘Isidro Burgos’in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, disappeared in the municipality of Equal to following being intercepted by state police and elements of Army.

Eight years later, the government of President López Obrador described the forced disappearance as a “state crime“.

Acts of vandalism and confrontation with hooded men
