Despite the visible screws, the Apple Watch Ultra hardly more repairable than the other models

The Apple Watch Ultra is the first in the family to shamelessly expose four screws on the back. That doesn’t make it especially easier to disassemble and repair, according to iFixit! The do-it-yourselfers carried out their ritual dismantling, and they were able to observe that removing the back of the watch required breaking the seal which gives the product its watertightness.

To access the battery and the Taptic motor, you have to go through the front anyway and therefore remove the screen, which is not easy: the operation caused the slab to break. Disassembly confirmed in any case the capacity of the battery (2.1 Wh, 542 mAh), it is 76% better than on the largest of the Series 8.

In the game of comparisons, the Apple Watch Ultra beats the Series on the size of the battery as we have seen, but also for the loudspeaker (see above).
