Road To Vostok Offers A First Demo To Show Its Concept

The developer of Road To Vostokthe single-player survival game heavily inspired by Escape From Tarkov et DayZjust got out a demoaccompanied by a presentation video. Alone at the helm for his very ambitious project, he already stands out for his propensity to meet deadlines. that he had fixedsomething rather rare in the middle.

The proposed demo is more a kind of proof of concept in which we can glimpse the different main mechanics that will be in the final game. We walk through a village that we can explore, we can loot objects and shoot down very basic AIs. Graphically, we stay very close to Escape From Tarkov or DayZ, and the rendering is pretty good for such a young version. In terms of gameplay, it is currently quite rigid. The movements are reminiscent of Arma 3 with a big broom in the ass and a lot of latency between the moment you press the button and the moment you move at cruising speed. The few weapons offered have a realistic rendering with a correct feeling, but the sound design fishing a little for now.

We feel that everything is presented in a succinct way, with functional mechanics, but not yet in-depth. The term demonstration is taken literally: it is not content to sell the game, but simply to show where the developer is. However, he took the time to work on the overall quality, because the finish is surprisingly good, a priori without any apparent bug.

If you are interested in the project, you can test the demo by going to la page Steam of Road To Vostok. You can also learn a bit more regarding the game by visiting the official website or on the page Patreon from the developer. Otherwise, a new video is planned for next month, as per usual.
