Liao Jinxiang took over as chairman of Chi Mei Industry following Xu Wenlong’s retirement, until he handed over the baton in 2012. In recent years, he has only appeared on public welfare occasions.
Liao Jinxiang is younger than Xu Wenlong. He joined the company when he was young and started from the lowest level of warehouse management. Liao Jinxiang took over the chairmanship of Chi Mei from Xu Wenlong in 2004 and handed it over to Xu Wenlong’s cousin Xu Chunhua in 2012.
After Liao Jinxiang resigned as the chairman of the Chi Mei Museum Foundation in 2020, he made fewer public appearances. Recently, it has been reported that he has been hospitalized due to health conditions. Today, the family commissioned Chi Mei Industry to announce the news of his death.
