Recently, some netizens shared their unpleasant experiences when they stayed at Harbour Grand Hong Kong in the Facebook group “Hong Kong Staycation Hotel Offers Check-in Report Sharing Valley”!

The victim’s post stated that he spent more than $4,000 on the official website to book a one-night staycation package for the “VIP Floor Ocean View Suite”, intending to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday happily. As a result, when the two checked in on September 17, they entered the room as soon as possible. It was found that the room was full of dust, the paint peeled off and scratched on the walls, and the seat placed at the foot of the bed was more stained and moldy. In addition, my girlfriend had a sensitive nose, so she might not accept the room condition. Report the incident to hotel staff. Later, although the hotel was arranged to change the room, the same situation still exists in the new room.

Regarding the current situation, the hotel staff just kept repeating to the victim that they would do deep cleaning once more, but following 3 hours of disturbance, the situation in the room has not improved. The victim had been disturbed for a long time, but there was still no actual solution and compensation plan. After seeing the situation, he asked if he might refund the money. The victim revealed to reporters that on the night of the check-out, the hotel actually called the victim once more to inquire whether the room needed to send a birthday cake to the room, suspecting that the hotel did not check out for them at all. The victim’s girlfriend also reported to the hotel manager that day, hoping that the hotel might give a reasonable explanation and response to the hotel room cleaning procedures the next day, but she has not received any notice from the hotel.

Many netizens pointed out that such a sanitary condition is too exaggerated, and some netizens estimated that this type of room may not have been rented out for a long time, so the lack of cleaning has caused many problems in the room.
