Days following the announcement of the Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan Reviving a concert in Syria on October 6, the Syrian Artists Syndicate in Damascus denied the matter.
And she said in a statement published on “Facebook” yesterday, Sunday, that Ramadan will not hold a party in the country, stressing that the matter is just rumours.
She also stressed that there is no truth to what is being circulated on social media regarding the Egyptian singer’s concert in Damascus, whether through the public or private sectors.
Signing contracts
This was in response to what was announced Ramadan Last Friday, through his accounts on the social networking sites, when he published a picture of his signing of one of the contracts.
He wrote: “Today, I signed contracts for 3 concerts in 3 different countries. Every day I will announce to you the name of the country and the date of the party.”
He also clarified that the first concert on Thursday, October 6, one day before the Alexandria concert, will be in Damascus.
Demands to cancel the event
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian artist is preparing to perform a concert in Alexandria on October 7.
However, he faced a campaign of criticism through the communication sites, amid calls to cancel the concert from some people, to respond by going to the streets of Alexandria and taking pictures and videos with his fans, assuring him of the love of the people of the coastal city for him and their welcome for his presence among them.
