The Korean women’s volleyball team, led by coach Cesar, suffered a devastating defeat from the first match of the World Championships.

Korea lost to the Dominican Republic 0-3 (19-25 12-25 15-25) in the first match of the 2022 FIVB World Women’s Championships Group B held in Arnhem, Netherlands on the 25th (Korean time).

Korea only managed to catch up by 6 points in the first set, but in the second and third sets that followed, they were defeated by 13 points and 10 points, respectively, and collapsed. Not a single set reached 20 points.

Lee Seon-woo (KGC), who scored 9 points, showed his weak attack power, which was the most goals scored in the team.

Digg led 42-41, but fell behind in other areas as well, 3-13 in blocking and 4-7 in serve.

On the other hand, the Dominican Republic took the victory with ease, with Guyla Gonzalez 17 points and Yonkaira Peña Isabel 11 points.

Korea Republic will challenge for their first win in the tournament once morest Turkiye in Gdansk, Poland on the 27th.
