Many news spread regarding canceling treatment at the state’s expense for citizens, which caused an increase in questions on the social media pages, and accordingly, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, revealed the whole truth.
The fact of canceling treatment at the expense of the state:
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar affirmed that treatment will not be canceled at the state’s expense and that it will continue to provide services to citizens free of charge, and explained that education is a basic right for citizens, for those who do not have health coverage.
While the Ministry confirmed the health Earlier, it provided all medical services, which included surgeries, medicines and medical examinations at the expense of the state, in the context of lifting the burden on patients, especially those who are unable.
Steps to obtain the approval of the specialized medical councils:
The ministry explained that these decisions are issued by the specialized medical councils, where the citizen goes to the nearest hospital in the governorate to which the patient belongs, and then conducts medical examinations to diagnose the case, so that a report is made by the tripartite committee.
The ministry revealed that following that report, the treatment request is approved electronically from the main center of the medical councils in Cairo, and then the decision will be issued and the patient receives the treatment service.
