Two Liberian officials charged with raping a teenage woman in Busan have been arrested.

On the 25th, Busan Dongbu Police Station announced that arrest warrants were issued for Liberian officials in their 50s and B in their 30s due to fears of escaping and destroying evidence.

According to the police, A and others are accused of sexually assaulting two teenage women at a hotel in Busan on the night of the 22nd. Upon receiving the report, the police arrested them as current offenders.

They are said to have visited Busan to attend an international event held in Busan. At the time of the arrest, Mr. B was in possession of a diplomatic passport, and it is known that they claimed immunity from the police.

The police said, “Since Mr. B was not granted diplomatic status to serve in Korea, it was determined that he had no immunity from immunity.”
