A 23-year-old woman was arrested in Miranda state following allegedly murdering her newborn baby. To “hide” her body, he put it in a washing machine and went to a health center for “bleeding of unknown origin.”
The information was released by the director of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) Douglas Rico, on his social networks.
Everything was discovered when the young woman went to the doctor Domingo Luciani hospital in El Llanito, presenting severe pain and bleeding, where when evaluated by the doctors, it was determined that it was due to a possible delivery, Rico said.
When asked regarding it, she denied that she was pregnant, but as the hours went by and when she was consulted by the doctors on several occasions, she told what happened.
It is there when the doctors inform the police forces and find the body of a 36-week-gestation neonate inside the washing machine in her house.
When the autopsy and docimasia were performed, it was determined that the baby had been born alive and the cause of her death was asphyxiation.
Apparently the girl hid her pregnancy from her relatives and “when giving birth, she did not give her the pertinent help and caused her death,” Rico added in her story. The woman is still admitted to the health center.
The case was placed under the order of the 65th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.
