Faced with the harassment suffered by the development team of Apex Legends, the Respawn studio has decided to react with a press release published yesterday on social networks. It’s a new studio that is forced to raise its voice in the face of the toxicity of the video game community.

Respawn Entertainment, studio famous for its games Apex Legends, Titanfall 1 and 2, or Star Wars Jedi : Fallen Order and its sequel expected next year Eat Survivor, decides to intervene with a press release in the face of the toxicity of the players once morest its development team.
We have recently seen an increase in harassment towards members of our development team. We welcome feedback from the community. On the other hand, the line between constructive advice and harassment of our team cannot be crossed. We would like to remind you that we maintain a zero tolerance policy with respect to threats and harassment affecting our developers. We will take appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our team. We love feedback and will continue to work with our community to cultivate a respectful and collaborative environment and keep our title competitive.

Respawn is obviously not the first studio to react to player toxicity. Bungie in particular wanted to respond to Respawn, while the studio, now owned by Sony, had already dealt with a malicious player last June before taking legal action.Still at Sony, Santa Monica called the players to order in early July while the latter rose up…in the face of the absence of a release date for God of War Ragnarök.
Finally, let’s also highlight the criticisms, threats and insults received by Ron Gilbert during the presentation of Return to Monkey Island that caused the creator to abandon his communication. The studios are obviously fed up and that is understandable, and remember in passing that nothing can justify such behavior on the part of the players.
