What did celebrities say in Lebanon about their wages in light of the deteriorating economic conditions?

Many art stars in Lebanon revealed the nature of the wages they receive from their concerts in light of the economic crisis in the country.

The artist, Layal Abboud, confirmed that she is often ashamed of getting her party fees in Lebanon, which aim to stimulate tourism, commenting: “I don’t have a problem. I work for free.”

Abboud added, in an exclusive interview to “Fuchsia”, that Lebanon deserves all the good and peace, so it does not oblige any of the Lebanese contractors to pay its wages in US dollars.

The journalist Zakaria Faham revealed that there are a number of Lebanese artists who refused to perform concerts in Lebanon because they tried to receive their wages in US dollars.

Director Adel Sarhan indicated that he takes into account the bad economic conditions that Lebanon is going through, commenting: “Most of the time I work for free, I only receive the wages of my workers. There is something called ongoing charity.”

Concert promoter Hussein Kasira denied that the artists’ wages are the same, stressing that all wages have decreased by 45%.

Plastic surgeon Hrach Sagbazarian said that whoever organizes the “Beautiful Time” festival naturally stands by his patients in light of this dire situation.
