Nasser Al-Khelaifi: Real Madrid’s last Champions League celebration was strange

Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi finds Real Madrid’s celebration of the recent Champions League title strange and unacceptable for him.

Real Madrid managed to win the Champions League for the fourteenth time in its history following defeating Liverpool with a clean goal in the final match.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi criticized Real Madrid’s celebrations, in comments reported by Mundo Deportivo: “Seeing Real Madrid celebrating the Champions League was a strange thing for me.”

And the owner of Paris Saint-Germain added: “The Champions League is the best tournament in the world of football, and winning it is a huge achievement to celebrate.”

Nasser Al-Khelaifi continued: “But in the case of Real Madrid, the celebration is strange, because their president was a few months ago trying to cancel this tournament and create a new tournament that has no history.”

Nasser Al-Khelaifi continued: “Despite his continuous attempts to eliminate that championship and create a new one, we find his team celebrating and enjoying winning it, and their fans celebrate the achievement.”

The owner of Paris Saint-Germain concluded his statements: “We will not waste our time talking regarding the issue of the Super League and what the three clubs are doing, but we will continue to move forward.”

It is reported that Real Madrid and Barcelona clubs, in addition to Juventus, are still trying to create a “Super League” to replace the European Champions League with huge financial returns.
