The Federal Consumer Protection Office (prophet) reported thatThe total closure was carried out and for a period of three calendar days from the Sam’s Club store located at Bordo de Xochiaca Avenue No. 3, Ciudad Jardín Bicentenario neighborhood, municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico; this, for “abusive practices”, for which he must also pay a million pesos.
The organization directed by Ricardo Sheffield Padilla pointed out that in recent days received complaints regarding New Walmart de México self-service stores owner of said establishment “which carries out abusive commercial practices”.
“The above, for pabusive business practices to the detriment of consumerss when checking the merchandise that they have already bought at the time of leaving the establishment,” said Profeco.

He explained that as a result of the visits carried out, the defenders of the trust verified the following: “said company in the departure area asks consumers for their ticket of sale for review of the merchandise despite the fact that said merchandise was already acquired and paid for by consumers, stopping them to check their ticket once morest the purchased merchandise; which is considered an act of unjustified nuisance to the consumer, and does not comply or may breach the provisions of article 10 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law.”
For this reason, Nueva Walmart de México was subject to the administrative procedure contemplated in article 123 of the Federal Consumer Protection Law, “for which the procedure was followed in all its procedures and there being no pending record to vent, it was ordered to issue an administrative resolution”.
“By reason of the foregoing, on September 23, 2022, the notification of the administrative resolution and the execution of the closure of three calendar daysusing 40 stamps for this purpose, it is important to point out that said sanction will be lifted on September 26, 2022,” he concluded.
