Moudon (VD): In the turmoil, old buses are looking for a second wind

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Despite its efforts, Rétrobus was unable to store all its vehicles in its three historic halls. A standoff began with the municipality of Moudon in 2015, so that the vehicles disappear. But even the creation of a fourth hall this spring did nothing. Buses kept passing. Finally, following many legal proceedings, “the Court of Administrative and Public Law (CDAP) decided, in a judgment delivered on June 30, 2022, that the Municipality might destroy all the buses parked outside, or which might be in the future, the RetroBus halls (Grand-Pré, Pussaz, Bressonaz and Pré-Bryand)”. On September 8, RétroBus appealed once morest this decision to the Federal Court and asked for suspensive effect. In other words, “no action can be taken until the TF has ruled on this request”, explains the syndic of Mondon, Carole Pico.
