Like all major global automotive events, the Paris Motor Show will give pride of place to electric cars. Almost all of the car manufacturers present at the World Cup will be exhibiting zero-emission models, most powered by large batteries. But it will also be necessary to rely on hydrogen and fuel cell technology: Hopium et NamX, two new French brands, will exhibit their prototypes of sports and family vehicles fueled by dihydrogen. And the organizers of the show are planning a space specially dedicated to the professional applications of hydrogen.
Gathered with 100% electric utilities, these hydrogen models will be visible in the “Electric and Hydrogen Professional Mobility Zone”, which will also include a stand of the Avere association to inform visitors and professionals regarding the provisions planned in this area. by the state and local authorities. Citroën, Opel, Peugeot, Fiat, Ford and even Renault Truck will exhibit vehicles in this dedicated area, as well as the new manufacturers Maxus and DFSK. A large number of solutions of the future for light and heavy utilities will thus be visible, solutions supposed to cover all segments where the use of electric batteries seems more complicated in theory. And there will even be hydrogen scooters and bicycles.
Some of the models exhibited in the Professional Electric and Hydrogen Mobility area can be tested in the LCV test center. And it will be a good opportunity to discuss the future of hydrogen technology and the technical challenges that will have to be overcome in order to achieve massive production of “green” dihydrogen. The entire future of this sector and of heavy transport depends precisely on this technological tour de force.
Caradisiac, partner of the Paris Motor Show
As in 2018, Caradisiac is once once more a partner in 2022 of the Mondial de l’Auto which will take place in Paris from October 17 to 23. The Caradisiac editorial team will thus be relocated to its own stand for the duration of the show to analyze, dissect, photograph and film all the new models. And this will of course also be an opportunity for you to come, as you are used to, to meet our journalists. Which new or used car to buy? They will answer all your questions. Until then, we will give you on Caradisiac all the information that we might have obtained from the manufacturers on their new models.
