The young man pleaded guilty last March to the unpremeditated murder of his mother, Barbara Waite.

The woman was found dead at her home in Squamish on April 1, 2020.

According to Crown prosecutors, she was shot in the back and in the head while playing the piano.

During sentencing submissions in June, it was revealed that Grantham wanted to go to Ottawa and kill Justin Trudeau following the murder of his mother.

He had packed his car with guns, ammunition, Molotov cocktails and camping gear to drive to Rideau Cottage where the prime minister lives, reports Global News.

The actor, notably seen in the “Riverdale” and “Supernatural” series, or in the film “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” will not be able to apply for parole for 14 years.
