Operation Cacique Murachí 2022 captured several subjects dedicated to illegal fuel trafficking.
A total of 2,310 liters of gasoline were seized in the Colombian-Venezuelan border area by officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb).
The incident occurred in the García de Hevia municipality, in the state of Táchira, where the illegal transfer of fuel from Colombia was stopped.
The information was released by G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Fanb.
On Twitter, Lárez specified that the defendants are part of a criminal organization known as “Los Secos”, whose main criminal activity is gasoline trafficking in the border area.
The arrest is part of Operation Cacique Murachí 2022, which seeks to eradicate the illicit hydrocarbon trade in the area.
