Riot Games Worlds Worlds Theme Song MV Released

Riot Games released the music video and sound source of ‘STAR WALKIN’, the theme song of ‘2022 LoL World Championship’ on the 23rd.

STAR WALKIN’, composed by singer Lil Nas X, who is loved by global fans by winning two Grammy Awards and #1 on the Billboard Singles Chart, is a song that adds a new feeling to the atmosphere of modern hip-hop.

Carrie Dunn, Global Head of Creative and eSports at Riot Games, said, “Through the World Championship theme song, we wanted to express our ‘One & Only’ personality, which is also the slogan of this competition, and Lil Nas X is the best musician. It is a song that perfectly expresses the tireless competitive spirit of professional players who have a burning passion to rise to the top.

STAR WALKIN’ music video features a new championship trophy created through collaboration with Tiffany & Co, including San Francisco, where the 2022 LoL World Championship final will be held. There are many easter eggs that will catch the attention of LoL esports fans, such as an e-sports fan wearing the uniform of Sang-hyeok “Faker” Sang-hyeok and a player holding a ruler next to Yong-in Cho “Core Load”.

Also, LoL including ‘Chovy’ Jung-hoon (Gen.G, Korea), ‘Meiko’ Tenye (EDG, China), ‘Humanoid’ Marek Brazda (Fnatic, Europe), ‘CoreJangjang’ Jo In (Team Liquid, North America), etc. Players representing major e-sports regions appear as the main characters of the music video. Azir, Thresh, Rell, Twisted Fate, and other LoL champions who have transformed into giant robots will fight in pairs.

The one that draws the double attention is Chobi, who is paired with Azir. Azir is one of Choby’s main champions, and in the 2022 LCK Summer Finals, he and Choby won two sets, leading Gen.G to win. In the video, Chobi fights fiercely while avoiding Twisted Fate’s ‘Wild Card’ skill with Azir, who has become a giant robot beyond the modifier ‘WOO MI CHOOO!!!’ Appears in an important role close to the main character of ‘STAR WALKIN’ music video.
