Grounded – After two years of early access, version 1.0 of Grounded is ready to launch

Announced last June by Microsoft, version 1.0 of Grounded will be launched on September 27 following two years of early access.

Since the start of its early access in July 2020 on Xbox consoles and PC, the survival game that immerses the player in a world that looks like aArthur and Les Minimoys is regularly enriched with updates. The latest also brought a co-op feature that was sorely lacking in the title given the lack of dedicated servers: Shared Worlds. Indeed, until now, it was necessary that the host of the game be present so that the players can evolve in the world of Grounded. With Shared Worlds, which give the possibility of storing games in the cloud, any player can now host the game without the original owner being present. The world is then synchronized to the cloud so that the next host player can continue to play on it from the most recent version.

Obviously, the teams ofObsidian Entertainment now consider the game fleshed out enough to release as a full game. Thereby, players will be able to download version 1.0 of Grounded on September 27 from 7 p.m. on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows and Steam. In addition, the game is also available on the Game Pass console & PC, and in beta on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
