Elham Shaheen on the death of the artist Hisham Selim: “One is beginning to fear the world.”

The artist Ilham Shaheen mourned the death of the late artist Hisham Selim, expressing her sadness and deep regret over his death, and praying for him and his family with patience and solace.

“The loved ones leave us and go away, and the person is already afraid of the world now,” Shaheen said during television statements with the media, “Shafki Al-Muniri,” the presenter of the “Ninth” program broadcast on Egypt’s first channel.

And she added: Hisham has fingerprints and his works will remain immortal, pointing out that the last work she presented with him was the sixth part of the Layali Al-Helmeya series, and at that time the work was painful for us due to the departure of the artist Mamdouh Abdel Alim at the time.

And she continued, I last met him 6 months ago, following announcing his illness, and I did not meet him following that because he was exposed to chemotherapy sessions.

The death of the great artist Hisham Selim was announced this morning, Thursday, at the age of 64, and was buried from the Sheikh Zayed Police Mosque following the followingnoon prayer, following his struggle with cancer.
