Colombian singer Shakira confirmed that she is in one of the “most difficult” and saddest moments of her life, while talking regarding her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Pique, Barcelona player.
In an interview with the Spanish magazine “El”, Shakira said that Pique, with whom she had two children, “wanted to play football and win titles”, and she should support him.
She added, “He must terminate his contract with Barcelona and move to the United States with me, where my career is, or I must continue where he works.”

She pointed out that one of them would have had to sacrifice, adding: “That’s why I made sacrifices and effort. I put my career in second place and moved to Spain to support him to play football and win titles. It was an act of love.”
Shakira continued, “No matter how things turned out or how Pique and I have feelings for each other following the separation, he is the father of my children. We have work to do for these two wonderful children.”
She explained, “I believe that we will discover what is best for their future and the best solution for everyone, and I hope that people will give us the opportunity and space to do this in privacy.”
Shakira concluded: “There is no place for me to hide from the paparazzi with my two sons, except in my house. We cannot walk through the garden like a normal family or go for ice cream without them behind us.”
