The comedian has announced that she is no longer married to François Paradis.

“I’m single. I’m telling you because everyone was writing me to tell me that I had lost weight recently and wanted to know what was my thing. She explained that she lost 10 lbs in two weeks. She mentioned that she was leaving for Abitibi for a week and that she would give more explanations regarding her separation when she returned to the microphone of Énergie.
The radio clip was posted on her public Facebook page, where a user posted a comment saying it was sad and sorry for her. The comedian replied: “It’s nice, but know that I’m very well. And sometimes separation is for the best. We get along really well, we have a good bond and a lot of respect for each other!”
Then, to the response of this same Internet user who wrote to her: “Successful separation is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your daughter”, Cathy Gauthier added: “The chicanery and the resentment are useless. Especially with kids involved. Resilience and acceptance, that’s more my avenues.” To another Internet user, she replied that the last few months had been difficult, but now things were better.

The artist and the son of ex-minister Pierre Paradis, who met in 2009, were married for seven years. In his one woman show Classiclaunched last April, the 45-year-old comedian talks a lot regarding himself, who is the producer of the show.
“I think he is capable of taking it. It has always been one of his obsessions that I talk regarding him in my show, and there, that’s what I do, but it’s more me who embarrasses me, “she told our magazine in August 2021. During that same interview, she said of her relationship, “We’re very different from each other, and I think that’s what makes us strong.”
From their union was born their daughter, Alice, on April 4, 2018. Cathy was also the stepmother of Léa, 16, the daughter of François.
