Saudi female engineers supervise buildings under construction and talk about their experiences • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The report of the “Al-Rased” program sheds light on the localization of the field of engineering, which allowed girls to be creative in home designs.

The report stated: “Under the sun, Saudi female engineers leave office meetings and sit in front of the equipment, heading to the sites to directly supervise their work and plans.”

The report indicated, “The field always contains real information, as this profession has been the preserve of engineers for many years, and it was difficult to enter it one day.”

For her part, the structural engineer, Nawal Al-Enezi, said: “I am present today to supervise the contractor, instead of the contractor putting in materials or aligning the method of implementation that are not in the plans. My role is to supervise the contractor to ensure that the plan that the company has settled as a design company is the same as what it has settled.”

The report pointed out: “The decision to nationalize the engineering profession gave the opportunity to the daughters of the country, and there were those who were looking for this opportunity and proved it.”

Meanwhile, interior design engineer Haneen Al-Sumai said: “We appreciate ourselves on the site to see the structural, architectural and interior design, and it opened the way for us with passion and love.”

The report concluded: “The designs of the houses have changed from the past, and creativity and innovation have increased from the inside and the outside. Designs have evolved and engineering has also developed and the field accommodates everyone.”
