Breaking up is hard, staying together is easier. And that’s why we have some big Wanda days ahead of us. The band from Vienna reflects on itself with a new record and simply calls it “Wanda”. Of course, that has to be celebrated.

On September 30th, matching the autumn melancholy, album number 5 of the group will be released. Get ready for songs regarding gloomy nights, regarding the never-ending rock ‘n’ roll, regarding Jurassic Park, loneliness, escalation and lines like “Hold on to the thought even if it’s wrong, you’re right”.

The new album

On FM4 we will of course not only report in detail regarding the new record, but also offer the Wanda group a very special stage: Together with radioeins we present the release concert for the latest Wanda album, live from the Badehaus Berlin.

The location is a very special one, because Wanda had their very first guest performance in the German capital in the said bathhouse. Marco Wanda sends “Bussi und Amore” in advance and in anticipation to the fans, who can no longer wait for the record. Because the concert takes place two days before the actual release, on September 28th.

You don’t have to hurry to catch the night train to Berlin, because FM4 brings the show home to you. From 7 p.m. on the radio and for people who want a sweaty Rock’n’Roll show from the comfort of their own living room too see want, in the video stream on fm4.ORF.at.

“The title ‘Wanda’ came regarding more from the longing to sound like we want to sound and to be like we want to be. Both are ideals that cannot be redeemed anyway. We are still on the way and we strive for more. We are on a journey as a band that must not end,” says Marco Wanda. The journey continues with this quasi-homecoming show.
