Estefany, the Zulian dentist who died after battling cancer twice

Social networks were flooded this Wednesday with messages of affection and condolences for the death of Estefany Moreno Calea young Zulian dentist, who was affectionately called “Estefany Unlimited” for her courage and strength to move forward despite the fact that she had to face cancer from a very young age.

The 28-year-old was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) when he was only 11 years old. At the age of 12, his leg was amputated, so he used a prosthesis. back then managed to overcome cancer and lead a normal life.

She graduated as a dentist in 2017, traveled to Chile and Ecuador, with some foundations, bearing her testimony as a cancer survivor. “She always dreamed of create your own foundation and be able to help other people who suffer from this terrible disease,” says Darianna MorenoEstefany’s younger sister.

The nightmare that seemed to have ended in Estefany’s life returned in 2021. After 16 years with a healthy and normal life, the doctors found that the cancer had returned and this time lodged in the lungs.

Given this reappearance, Estefany received chemotherapy treatment until February of this year and later, monoclonal antibody medication.

After receiving treatment, the cancer lodged in the spinal cord, leading his health to deteriorate. “The doctors no longer gave us much hope. But we continued to have faith in her recovery. My sister was super special to me, she made me feel cared for. For her, the family was her joy,” says Darianna.
