Doping test B of a Russian figure skater Kamily Valieva gave a positive result.

In February, during the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, it became known that Valieva passed a positive doping test for trimetazidine. The sample itself was taken in December at the Russian Championship, and then sent to the laboratory in Stockholm – the result of the analysis was announced already at the Winter Games.

In Beijing, Valieva became the Olympic champion of the team tournament, but the award did not take place due to the start of an investigation.

On September 14, the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) reported that the investigation into Valieva’s case had been completed. The general director of the agency, Veronika Loginova, said that the approximate deadline for the end of the hearings in the figure skater’s case is the end of September – the beginning of October.
