Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 87) and Henri Laaksonen (125) bit the dust in the round of 16 at the ATP 250 tournament in San Diego in the United States. Hüsler was outshot 6-3 7-5 by Daniel Galan Riveros (75). Laaksonen was beaten 6-0 6-2 by Mackenzie McDonald (84).
Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 87) clung to Daniel Galan Riveros (75). The Zurich native, following being largely dominated in the first set 6-3, got stuck in the second. He only suffered the break in the 11th game before repelling a match point. But the Colombian ended up winning 7-5 in the last set.
For his part, Henri Laaksonen (125) had no say in the matter. He had a quick exit in less than an hour of play. He only managed to rack up 2 games, only to be knocked out 6-0 6-2 by the American Mackenzie McDonald (84).
