Wales captain Gareth Bale has said he is on his way to full fitness and ready for the World Cup in November.

And the British news agency (BA Media) reported that Bale played only two matches as a starter in the 11 games he participated in with Los Angeles FC, and he has not played so far the full 90 minutes since joining the team last July.

But the 33-year-old confirmed that his program aims to reach the appropriate fitness for the end of the season in the American League, and then participate in the World Cup in Qatar.

“We have a plan in Los Angeles for what we want to do,” said Bale, who joined Wales’ squad to face Belgium and Poland in the Nations League.

“Every player wants to play as often as possible, but we are smart and preparing for the most important part of the season,” he added.

“I hope to be in good shape at the World Cup, I think I will be very fit,” Bale continued.

He continued, “I haven’t played 90 minutes yet, and I’m working to play 90 minutes.”

“I hope things are good enough to help Los Angeles, and also to be ready to participate in the World Cup,” he explained.

The Wales national team plays in Group B of the World Cup, along with the teams of England, the United States of America and Iran.
