Boston dispenses with the services of Bruno Caboclo

Bruno Caboclo is once once more completely free. The Brazilian player has seen how his adventure in Boston ended almost before it began, since the Massachusetts organization has chosen to stop counting on him following signing him a contract in August to carry out the training camp; reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The chosen moment is disconcerting. After having him in their discipline for a month and a half, the Celtics have dispensed with Caboclo as the preseason approached; that is, right at the point where it seemed that they had to analyze it in depth to keep it or cut it. Perhaps this movement is due to the fact that the greens have found a piece that interests them more, or that the player himself has a juicier contract with another team (either NBA or abroad). Nor should it be ruled out that he ends up playing with the Maine Celtics of the G League.

What seems clear is that his time in the NBA is getting closer to extinction. Being selected 20th overall in the 2014 draft, he has only appeared in 105 regular season games in seven seasons spread between the Raptors, Kings, Grizzlies and Rockets. The 2020-21 campaign ended in France and the 2021-22 campaign was played with Sao Paulo FC. If there is no drastic turn in the situation, continuing his career outside the NBA is the most likely.
