After the presidential directive became known in which the Colombian head of state, Gustavo Petro, gave orders for the necessary cuts to achieve savings in government spendingthe director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency, Mauricio Lizcano, referred to this new order.
“It is an order for all entities, it has savings in these four years of 4 billion pesos, a minimum saving of one billion per year is calculated, only in compliance with this presidential directive. Also It brings up very strong anti-corruption issues that I think is a good message for public opinion.a,” said the senior official.

Lizcano assured that With this, a saving of 30% will be made in all contracts for the provision of services of the National Government.
“The same when it comes to contracts for the provision of management support services only and that, a person, that is the State may only hire a single person; and when it comes to contracts for the provision of services, consultancies, well that does not bring any restrictions, but when it comes to management support contracts and what is management support, a person who has to be in the office all the time supporting the managementthe State may only contract with a single person, that is, this eliminates the whole issue of parallel payrolls”.
Finally, the director of Dapre assured that the State plant will not be touched, “in this directive the workforce is not touched, there are no layoffs here, it is a reduction of those whose contract ends, since the entities must reduce by 30%, but here there is no termination of contracts or layoffs because here we are not touching the money, on the contrary, we are testing with this one as we are promoting. It is that if and there are vacancies, it is formalized in the jobs of the contracts for the provision of services in those vacancies”.
